Arkhive is an amalgamation of two words, ARK + HIVE. Ark is a collection of all the things that need to be saved, HIVE is a place of central activity, and overall it plays on the word Archive. This sums up Arkhive well. The space acts as HQ and retail space for our own brand, Millstone spices, salts, teas and coffee. Arkhive also houses North African pottery from Morocco and Algeria as well as classic teaware and kitchenware.

We want this 700 year old building oozing with style!

Arkhive resides in one of the oldest buildings in Hebden Bridge, Bridge Mill, originally built in 1311, and remodelled over the years, to take advantage of the trade routes between Burnley and Halifax. Our space is 600 sq ft of history. We have been very mindful of preserving as much of this history as possible. From 300 year old exposed brickwork to raw steel support columns to natural wood flooring, still with marks, dents and stains from heavy machinery of centuries gone by. It has been designed to be open plan, so it can accommodate and adapt itself to as many different uses that may arise. We wanted a space that would inspire us, a place reflective of our beliefs in the brands that we build. That is honest, caring and fun.

Millstone – organic spices, herbs, salts, teas and coffee. Millstone is our core brand and many of the products that reside in Arkhive are built around Millstone. Handmade pottery and rugs from Morocco, matcha bowls from Japan and hand carved wooden spoons from Algeria.

Plus you can expect the unexpected.

From time to time we invite in brands that compliment our values to take part in our pop-up markets.

The Arkhive space has panoramic views of the central square in Hebden Bridge where thousands of people pass every weekend. If you are a brand who would like to pop-up in Arkhive, please get in touch.
